Pastor Melchisedec Brown is the fifth child out of six, born to his parents Elder James Brown and Mother Mary Brown. Pastor Brown was born and raised in Jamaica Queens, New York. He grew up in a musically inclined household, which is where his love for music first began. He started playing the bass at just 7 years old. He was a member of his family group “The Holy Brown Family,” where he sang and played the bass. “The Holy Brown Family” traveled throughout various states singing gospel music under the power and anointing of God. God has anointed Pastor Mel to not only play the bass guitar, but the lead guitar and drums as well. Pastor Mel fully gave his life to Christ on New Years Eve of December 1992. He repented of his sins and was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In August 2001, Pastor Mel received the gift of the Holy Ghost. In 2003, he acknowledged the call to minister God’s word and he hasn’t looked back since. Pastor Mel met and married the love of his life, Co-Pastor Shannette Brown and they have been married for 31 years and counting! They have been blessed with three sons, Melshon, Mykell, and Mekhi Brown. Not only is Pastor Mel a loving father, husband, and musician, but he is also a Certified Christian Counselor. In 2021, Pastor Mel Brown finally accepted the call to pastorship. He is the founder and Lead Pastor of Jesus House Ministries (JHM), located in Bellmore, New York, where his mission is to “Reach All Generations,” according to Luke 14:23, “And the Lord said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Pastor Melchisedec Brown is a man of strong faith with a passion to study God’s word and whose utmost desire is to do the will of the Father.
